At present, the domestic elevators on the market can be divided into 4 types according to the driving mode: traction drive elevator, hydraulic drive elevator, screw elevator and air elevator. Traction type and hydraulic type are the two most common driving methods, which are widely used, and their working principles will not be repeated here. The following briefly introduces the working principle of screw elevator and air elevator.
The driving principle of the screw elevator is simply to use the rotary motion between the screw and the nut to realize the up and down movement of the car. A screw with screw thread is installed on the side of the car. The nut is connected to the car. The nut or screw is driven by the motor through the reducer (or belt) to rotate, so that the car rises or falls with the nut. According to the difference between the rotating body and the driving position, it can be divided into three types: the screw shaft above the drive type, the screw shaft below the drive type and the nut rotating type.
As the name implies, the air elevator uses the method of air pressure difference to realize the up and down movement of the car. The hoistway is divided into three parts for specific description. Taking the ascent of the car as an example, the hoistway is from the bottom to the top, including the atmospheric pressure area, the sealing area and the low pressure area. The atmospheric pressure area is directly connected to the outside world to ensure the free flow of gas at atmospheric pressure. The atmospheric pressure difference between the top and bottom of the car generates upward and downward thrusts, thereby realizing the up and down movement of the car. The atmospheric pressure difference required to lift the car is generated by the air pump located at the top of the hoistway.
